If you're an inspiring woman running a creative or wellbeing business and you're looking for a like-minded community to share your ideas, challenges, and wins — and you love being out in nature — then we are your tribe!
Atelier8 is a growing community for support, inspiration, creativity in the historic town of Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds. With an art gallery, events, creative workshop schedule, and retail space, we thought this an ideal place to host our 3rd Netwalking event.
The Walk (approx 3.1 miles)
We begin our walk in the heart of the Cotswolds, in the charming town of Stow-on-the-Wold. As we set off from Park Street, we'll head west, crossing the ancient Roman Fosse Way, before stepping onto a narrow path that reveals the stunning rolling hills this region is famed for. Our descent leads us to the idyllic Hyde Mill Farm, where we cross the peaceful River Dikler. From here, we follow the Heart of England Way, winding through open countryside to the postcard-perfect village of Lower Swell. In Lower Swell, we'll briefly enter the Abbotswood Estate, where natural beauty meets quiet elegance and then return to the road to begin our gentle climb back to Stow. The final leg takes us through the lively and historic market square. As we pass its beautiful old buildings, unique boutiques, and antique shops, you'll feel the vibrant charm of this Cotswold gem. Our walk concludes at Atelier8, where you can relax, continue great conversations, grab a drink and sample some locally made treats —an ideal finish to our CWC netwalk.
Access: Mostly gentle slopes but some steeper sections off-road where walking poles could be helpful for support, especially in wet conditions. Livestock in fields. Grass, gravel track and road sections. The final climb back to Stow is predominantly on pavement. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
